DocMyTicket is a free tool for IT/MSP support technicians to clean up ticket notes and draft client emails. This page covers the website (docmyticket.com) and the DocMyTicket browser extension.
The short version
Free note correction never leaves your browser. Whether you're using the website's formatter or the extension's "Fix Note" button, grammar/spelling correction runs entirely on your device using a local dictionary. No note text is uploaded anywhere for that feature.
Text is only sent to our server when you explicitly click an AI feature — AI Polish or Generate Email Draft — which relays it to Google's Gemini API to do the rewriting, and is not stored afterward.
What we collect
Account info (only if you sign in): your email address, and optionally your name, company name, and company size if you fill those in. Sign-in uses a one-time emailed code — we never see or store a password.
Saved templates (only if you sign in and create them): the custom email/note templates you save to your account.
Single-word corrections: when you use AI Polish, or use the "Teach a correction" feature, individual misspelled-word → corrected-word pairs may be logged to improve the shared dictionary — never full notes or sentences, and never tied to your identity.
Anonymous usage counts: we count how many times core actions happen sitewide (page loads, "Format Notes" clicks, AI Polish runs, email drafts generated) so we know whether the tool is actually being used. Each count is just an event type and a timestamp — no IP address, no account, no identifier of any kind is attached, and counts can't be traced back to any individual visit.
AI token usage: when AI Polish or email drafting is used, we log how many tokens that request consumed (a number, plus which feature and which AI provider handled it) so we can monitor free-tier usage limits — not the note text itself, and not tied to your identity.
Basic server logs: standard web server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page) kept briefly for security and abuse prevention, same as virtually any website.
What the browser extension reads
The extension adds a small "Fix Note" button near text fields on pages you visit. It only reads a field's text when you click that button on that specific field — it does not continuously monitor typing, and it does not read anything outside the field you clicked into. That text is corrected locally in your browser and written back into the same field; for the free tier, none of it is sent to our server or anywhere else.
The extension requires signing in (same account as the website) before it will run corrections, so it can check your plan — but signing in doesn't cause any note text to be transmitted.
Third parties we use
Supabase — hosts our database and handles account sign-in. Your email and profile fields are stored there.
Google Gemini API — only receives text you explicitly submit via AI Polish or Generate Email Draft.
ZeptoMail (Zoho) — delivers the sign-in code email when you log in.
We don't sell your data, run advertising, use tracking/analytics pixels, or track individual visitors across sessions or sites. The only "analytics" here are anonymous, sitewide event counts (described above) with no way to tie any count back to a specific person or visit.
Your choices
Use the website's formatter without ever creating an account — no data is collected at all in that case beyond standard server logs.
Delete your account and its data at any time by emailing us (below) — we'll remove your profile and saved templates.
Uninstall the browser extension at any time from chrome://extensions or edge://extensions, which removes all locally cached data (session, dictionary cache) immediately.
Children's privacy
DocMyTicket is a professional tool for IT support technicians and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
